Full convection soldering

Describes soldering using hot and cold air to generate the temperature profile. Heat is transferred by convection through fans. The transfer medium is either air or pure nitrogen, which is heated by heaters and precooled by a cooling media.

This method is mostly used for soldering printed circuit boards or consumer electronics. In most cases, inline ovens are used.
